About the Court Building

The Court International Building has a special place in the heart of Fresh Paint! It was an honor to be a part of the Court Atrium renovation and to see the transformation take place before our eyes. Our long-standing relationship with Suntide Commercial Realty has made us more like family than working partners. We plan together. We problem solve together. About the Project

Mark Barnier driving the Teupen liftThe Court Atrium refresh presented some challenges with tight and occupied spaces, but consistent communication created a smooth project for everyone. Heights, close quarters, and occupied spaces are the name of this game. Our team approach was vital in creating a cohesive plan that made sure the project was safe and efficient while maintaining a workable space for tenants and visitors.

How do you address small spaces and great interior heights? Bring on the spider! Fresh Paint brought in a Teupen spider lift to make the tight turns, snug doorways and to reach new heights at the top of the atrium. Much like a spider this unique lift allowed us access to the tightest spaces and the highest walls without causing damage to the existing flooring and finishes. Our VP of Production, Mark Barnier, operated the remote control of the lift to maneuver through the entire building with expert skill. Once in place, the self-leveling outriggers provide the best in class for safety. Our teams ventured over 80 feet high in the atrium for a flawless Fresh Paint finish.

Fresh Ideas & Collaboration Overcomes Challenges

Teupen LiftWith a giant spider lift in the middle of an occupied space what do we do? Communicate, communicate, communicate! Fresh Paint was in consistent communication with Suntide to ensure all activities were coordinated with property managers, tenants, and visitors. Caution tape was used to create a safe space around the lift while in operation and elevator closings were announced prior to them closing. Suntide is an excellent partner, and we truly appreciate the lasting relationship we have built together. Fresh Paint looks forward to continuing to LIFT our partners and their properties.
